HC parents can order a decorated cookie or pizza certificates to be sent to their student — whether it be for their student's birthday or some special occasion they wish to have remembered. Simply call the Alumni Office at 800-775-2585 for more information. 

Freshmen are welcomed to HC in style during our annual Freshman Traditions Night. Freshmen arrive in the Chapel during their second week on campus expecting a lecture, but instead they experience a night of SAA fun! Alumni and professors tell entertaining stories of their days at HC while SAA sponsors explain a bit of history and some infamous traditions of the college. Messy games and exciting prizes are also tossed in for good measure! 

In addition to participating in the Melody Round-Up parade, SAA show their true "Bronco Spirit" at all of the Homecoming festivities. Members also stay busy assisting the Alumni Office with weekend activities. 

These kits can be ordered by parents to be given to their students during Fall and Spring Finals Week. Each kit contains easy-to-make food, drink mixes, handy school items, healthful snacks and a dose of junk food tossed in for fun! Finals just can't be passed without a Survival Kit! Nearly 200 children attend our annual Halloween carnival. The event, held in the circle drive, features games, raffles and a costume contest where children of alumni and faculty were able to win candy and prizes. It is a great time with so many children in attendance! 

Nearly 100 students, faculty and staff take the cold, cold plunge into the frigid waters of Lake Hastings every March. Some said they were crazy. Some said they were out of their minds. All said they were cold! SAA sponsors this new campus tradition that brings students together to have a little frosty fun and prove that there is a little piece of the "Polar Bear Club" right in Hastings! 

Each April, members of more than 20 campus organizations compete for the very prestigious title of Mr. and Ms. Bronco. Contestants representing athletic teams, musical organizations, campus groups or fraternities and sororities showcase their skills in categories such as talent, Q and A, and even dressing as the organization they represent. Audience participation and a secret panel of "celebrity" judges add to the fun.

This annual event honors faculty who have been on campus for three years or less and have shown exemplary service on campus. Nominations are taken from the student body. All new faculty are recognized at the reception held during an all faculty meeting. 

The campus' only black tie affair. Each year, Hastings College inducts up to 5 members into the Pro Rege Society who have performed extraordinary service for HC, who have made significant philanthropic contributions and/or those who have possessed an unusual commitment to the College for an extended period of time. SAA members and other students are hosts and servers for the event. 

Held at a local college hang-out in early May, the Zero Class Reunion is meant to provide the graduating class one last chance to get together for some camaraderie before they leave HC. The Alumni Association provides hors d'oeuvres and specials for the evening, and non-senior SAA members welcome HC's newest alumni into the association! 

An event of the Alumni Association, Golden Graduation is held in conjunction with commencement weekend for all alumni who are celebrating their 50-year reunion. SAA assists with the weekend activities.
