At the core of every good Web site is a solid message. The Bachelor of Arts in Web Communication Design at Hastings College focuses on the communicative aspects of Web messages, while simultaneously developing solid foundational skills; professionals need to learn all the pieces, and how to put them together in new, meaningful ways. In line with that philosophy, the major requires students to develop written, visual, and auditory literacies, as well as theoretical, artistic, communicative, scientific and pragmatic understanding.

The 47 hour major takes students into diverse departments at the college, including art, business, communication arts, communication studies, computer science, journalism, marketing, and more; all with the purpose of creating exceptionally capable, critical, and competitive graduates.
