The Communication Studies faculty members are dedicated professionals with extensive experience in the study and practice of communication. The tenured faculty members all have advanced degree coursework (doctoral level). Unlike many institutions, where entry level courses are taught by graduate students, HC takes pride in putting our best instructors in ALL courses. New students will learn from professors with extensive experience and training in the study of communication. Employers continually rank “communication skill” as essential in the workplace (Seiler, & Beall, 2008; U. S. Department of Labor, 2007 O*NET survey). A degree in Communication Studies will help students prove to employers that they have the skills needed in a global and dynamic work environment.
