Pre-Engineering Program

Students in the pre-engineering program spend three or four years studying physics and liberal arts at Hastings College then transfer to finish their engineering studies in one and a half to two years at one of several schools. Upon graduation from the engineering school, students receive a BA from Hastings and a BS from the engineering school.
The more popular option is to spend four years and graduate from Hastings, then finish engineering studies in one and one half years. The schools participating in the program include: Washington University, Georgia Tech, Columbia, University of Colorado, University of Nebraska, Colorado State, and Iowa State; however, a student can apply to any school.
To remain in the program, a student must keep a B average at Hastings. If you meet this requirement after three years, you are eligible to attend any of the above listed schools.
