The Crimson Scholarship Program represents the college’s highest and most prestigious academic awards. To qualify for one of these scholarships (in addition to your Crimson Scholarship), high school seniors must meet ALL of the following by January 11, 2013:
- Apply and complete all admissions requirements
- Have a 3.75 GPA or higher
- Score a 26 composite or higher on the ACT exam (or at least 1170 on the SAT exam)
- Complete a Crimson Scholars Program Application (closed)
- Submit an activities resume (closed)
The Hastings College Crimson Scholars Selection Committee will select finalists to interview on Crimson Scholars Day, Sunday, February 10, 2013 for the:
- Walter Scott Scholarships (Full-Tuition)
- Trustee Scholarships (an additional $9,000 per year)
- President Scholarships (an additional $8,000 per year)
- Provost Scholarships (an additional $7,000 per year)
- and Dean Scholarships (an additional $2,000–$3,000 per year)
In case of inclement weather, Scholars Day will take place on Sunday, February 17, 2013.
These scholarship recipients are selected based on superior academic achievement and expected contributions to the Hastings College campus. Scholarship winners will be announced by March 1, 2013. Finalists unable to attend Scholars Day will simply be awarded a Crimson Scholarship ($14,000 per year).
The above scholarships are renewable each year with a 3.0 or higher GPA.
