From the Director
With excitement and joy I look forward to taking up my new post as director of the Center for Vocation, Faith & Service program. While my own vocation in ministry, academic theology, and service has taken me all over the country, meeting the Christian Ministry scholars at Hastings College for the first time was like coming home. In these students, I encountered a community which integrated faith, service, and the pursuit of goodness as a seamless whole – a single journey pursuing a life of meaning and purpose. I found committed students with sharp minds and gentle spirits in an intellectual community of Christian service.

I’m delighted to take on the director position of this program and I look forward to intense discussions, genuine questions, hard-fought answers, and new life where life is needed most. I’m glad to be joining this remarkable community doing such remarkable ministry, and glad to be a part of the larger journey of Christian vocation which we’ll be exploring together.
