2011 Hall of Fame Inductees

Brent Brummer '04

Brent Brummer led Hastings College's surge to national prominence in men's soccer. Brummer was twice named the GPAC Player of the Year and was an NAIA All-American while leading the Broncos to their first two national tournament appearances in soccer. He also was named an NAIA All-American Scholar-Athlete.

Dr. Phillip Dudley

Dr. Phillip Dudley served Hastings College in a variety of capacities from 1973 to 2011. In 2000, he was inaugurated as the 14th Hastings College President. Under his leadership, the Bronco athletic department won four national championships, numerous national tournament berths and conference championships, and twice was the GPAC All-Sports Champion. The College has also been a national leader in Scholar Teams and Scholar-Athletes.

Robert "Bobby" Gottsch (Posthumously)

As Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees, Robert "Bobby" Gottsch provided strong leadership, contributing significantly to all major Hastings College building projects in recent years, including the Osborne Family Sports Complex (home to the Gottsch Weight Room), the Morrison-Reeves Science Center, and the track facility. He also provided scholarship support for students. In 2010, he received the Hastings College President's Award for outstanding and meritorious service to the College. Elected to the Board of Trustees in 1995, Mr. Gottsch died on August 10, 2011, at the age of 57.

Ken Morrison

As an 18-year member of the Hastings College Board of Trustees (1981-1999), Ken Morrison served on the Executive and Investment Committees as well as the Hastings College Foundation Board of Directors. In 1999, Hastings College inducted Mr. Morrison into the Pro Rege Society, the highest non-academic honor bestowed by the College. Among the College's most loyal supporters, he provided leadership gifts for the Osborne Family Sports Complex and the new science center. To recognize his generous support, the College named the Morrison-Reeves Science Center in his honor.

2003 Men's Soccer Team

The 2003 Hastings College men's soccer team reached the NAIA semifinals and finished third in the national rankings. The Broncos finished the year with a 23-2 record, winning the GPAC regular season championship, the GPAC Tournament championship, and the Region IV championship.
