Named after Frank E. Weyer, a beloved long-time dean at Hastings College and historian, Weyer Hall houses 70 men. Weyer residents can be found cooking in the basement with the newly re-modeled kitchen, cleaning band instruments, playing piano, studying for classes and, it’s been rumored, taking a break playing Frisbee or other games in the front lawn. Weyer was built in 1950 and has three stories.
“I love Weyer because it is the least rowdy of the two all-male dorms. The lack of noise creates the perfect environment for studying and nap taking!”
Quincy Johnson – Current Student
Hometown: Oklahoma City, Okla.
Major: Health Systems w/ minor in Psychology
Activities: Football, Tour Guide, Student Alumni Ambassadors, Tau Beta Alpha, Multi-Cultural Student Union
“I love living in the dorms because it’s a great way to meet plenty of people. Everyone is friendly and easy to get along with. If some kids on your floor are in the same class, it’s an easy way to get a study group together.”
Alex Leyva – Current Student
Hometown: Grand Island, Neb.
