“The most notable impression the team received during the visit to Hastings College was the extraordinary collegiality and hospitality that existed on the campus. Board members, students, faculty and staff were all highly personal which reinforced the message that Hastings sends that students will be known and develop relationships with skilled educators. Their market advantage is providing personal attention to students and welcoming them into an academic community that extends to the neighborhoods across the street where the vast majority of faculty and staff live. The theme of Hastings as a ‘student-served college’ seemed evident throughout the visit.”
