U.S. News and World Report's America's Best Colleges

“The U.S. News rankings system rests on two pillars. It relies on quantitative measures that education experts have proposed as reliable indicators of academic quality, and it’s based on our nonpartisan view of what matters in education.”

- U.S. News and World Report

Hastings College is ranked among 248 national liberal arts colleges in the 2009 edition of “America’s Best Colleges,” a guide published by U.S. News and World Report magazine.

Only three Nebraska colleges are listed in the liberal arts category, which includes schools that emphasize undergraduate education and award at least half of their degrees in the arts and sciences.

U.S. News and World Report ranks schools based on factors such as peer assessment, graduation and retention rates, class size, student selectivity and alumni giving.
