Crop Walk

HSU A and B for start and finish, then around Heartwell Park.

Church Women United of Hastings and Hastings College Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Group will host a Crop Walk and 5K Run starting from HSU. The event raises money to address hunger issues through Church World Service. One-quarter of the funds raised stay in Hastings.

Theatre: Six Characters in Search of an Author

Six very strange people interrupt a theatre rehearsal. Trapped inside a traumatic event from which they long to escape, they are characters who desperately need a writer to complete their story and release them. One of the most extraordinary and mysterious plays of the 20th century, Six Characters speaks directly to an age of uncertainty: where do we come from, where are we going, how do we become what and who we want to be?

2013-2014 Presser Scholar Award Winner
The Theodore Presser Award is presented by Hastings College on behalf of the Theodore Presser Foundation.  Established in 1928 by the Theodore Presser family and board of directors, the Presser Foundation has awarded grants since 1929 to students pursuing degrees in music. 
The Hastings College Department of Music has awarded the Theodore Presser Award since 1930.  The recipient of the award is selected by the Music Faculty.

Free Concert: Opera singer Dr. Maria Kanyova

A soprano recognized for portraying Violetta in Verdi’s La Traviata and Madama Butterfly in Puccini’s opera of the same name, Dr. Kanyova has performed with opera companies and symphonies across the United States and Canada. For more, go to:
