‘The Greek Mythology Olympiaganza’ is wild, silly fun for all ages

In “The Greek Mythology Olympiaganza,” the annual Alpha Psi Omega theatre production set to open this week, two narrators attempt to cover the entirety of Greek mythology, which results in general theatrical insanity!

A poster that says The Greek Mythology Olympiaganza. Creation myths such as Pandora’s Box and Cronos and the Titans jostle for space with other famous myths like Jason and the Argonauts. Culminating in a five-minute, two-actor version of The Iliad, this fast-paced, free-wheeling play is wild, silly and a complete blast for all ages.

The production, while aimed at children, is suitable (and funny!) for all ages. It opens Thursday, April 25 and runs through Sunday, April 28 in Scott Studio Theatre (806 N. Turner Avenue). Showtimes for “The Greek Mythology Olympiaganza,” by Don Zolidis, are 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and 2:00 p.m. on Sunday.

The show is produced by Alpha Psi Omega, the theatre honorary. As this is a fundraiser, no passes are allowed. All tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the box office or reserved by emailing tickets@hastings.edu.
