The Learning Center has two openings for Graduate Assistants starting before the fall semester, 2017.
The Graduate Assistant will work closely with the Learning Center and assist with the various duties that are required of that department. These duties include but are not limited to: teaching as needed, working with individual students and faculty, administrative duties as deemed necessary by the Director, and any other duties that may be required.
Required Education, Training, & Experience:
The Graduate Assistant must have a Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate field of study and be accepted in the Master of Arts in Teaching Program at Hastings College. The graduate assistant must have exceptional communication skills with particular emphasis in speaking, listening, and teaching both basic and advanced writing skills. Experience working with students in a writing lab or learning center at the college level as well as leadership experiences with high school, college, or adult groups is helpful.
