Hastings College seeks qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Men’s & Women’s Track & Field Coach. This is a twelve month, full time position. The Assistant Coach is responsible for assisting the Head Coach in all phases of a competitive NAIA Track & Field program including but not limited to: recruitment of prospective student-athletes; training and development of student athletes both athletically and academically; liaison for academics and other departments on campus; assisting with camps and clinics, and administration of the cross country and track & field teams.
A bachelor’s degree is required - master’s degree is preferred. Minimum of two years coaching experience or collegiate competition in the multi-events or experience in at least three of the following areas: horizontal jumps, high jump, pole vault, javelin, hurdles. Candidates must have excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Must have the ability to work responsibly with minimal supervision and the flexibility to travel, work weekends, and evenings when necessary.
Hastings College is a member of the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). Founded in 1882, Hastings College is an independent, co-educational, Presbyterian-related, national liberal arts college with an enrollment of approximately 1,200 students. The student/faculty ratio is 13/1. The median ACT score of entering students is about 24. Hastings (population 25,370) is an attractive, residential community in South-Central Nebraska, 100 miles west of Lincoln and 15 minutes south of Interstate 80.
