History with Hastings College
I graduated from Hastings in 1993 with a double major in Math and Economics. I’ve been working in the admissions office since 1994.
Why I chose to attend Hastings as a student
It was local (I’m a hometown girl) and just a good fit for me. My brother had just graduated from Hastings College and had a great experience.
Hobbies and Interests
I enjoy playing tennis. We have two kids, and I enjoy attending their games and cheering them on.
Favorite thing about Hastings College
It is as great of a place to work as it is to attend as a student.
Favorite place on campus
I love the little waterfall by the Morrison-Reeves Science Center. It is a pretty area fall, winter, spring and summer!
Most memorable class
“Labor Economics” with Dr. Phil Dudley — he was vice president back then and taught at least one class every semester. He was a tough teacher (a frequent quiz giver) and an entertaining lecturer.
Favorite thing to do in Hastings
Aquacourt waterpark in the summer or Duncan Field at a Bronco baseball game in the spring.
Favorite place to eat in Hastings
Big Dally’s Deli (downtown location) and Eileen’s Cookies (for dessert).
I have a mean lookin’ forehand in ping pong.
Best meal I can cook
Pork Chop Casserole. This is about the only meal I can cook, too.
People would be surprised to know that…
I loved marching band in high school — complete band geek!
