History with Hastings College
I graduated from Hastings College in 2007 with a double major in English and Advertising/Public Relations. My wife, sister, and brother in-law also graduated from Hastings.
Why I chose to attend Hastings
I was really attracted to the liberal arts program and the smaller campus. I didn’t know what I wanted to study when I enrolled at Hastings. The liberal arts program exposed me to a lot of different areas and helped me decide on a major.
Hobbies and interests
I enjoy lots of things: growing things, cooking, golfing, reading, and technology, just to name a few.
Favorite thing about Hastings College
The people. There are some really amazing people at HC and I think that’s why the college continues to thrive. Students and faculty genuinely care about each other here.
Favorite place on campus
The library. I spent a lot of time there as a student worker. Most memorable class. I took a J-term class where I learned how to play the guitar. In just 3 weeks I was able to strum out a few songs!
Favorite thing to do in Hastings
Go to Eileen’s Cookies and get a 4” frosted chocolate chip cookie. They’re addictive!
Favorite place to eat in Hastings
Probably The Barrel Bar. They have the best steak in town.
Best thing about being a Bronco
Just knowing that you’re always a part of the HC community. I’ve made some great friends and connections at Hastings.
It’s not really a talent, but I enjoy playing the piano.
Best meal I can cook
I can make awesome homemade ice cream.
