History with Hastings College
I have been part of the Hastings College family since 2006 when I went on my first campus tour. I instantly felt at home and haven’t left since. In 2010, I graduated with a degree in Business Administration and Health Promotions Management and have worked in Student Life for the past three years.
Why I chose to attend Hastings as a student
I grew up in a small town where everyone had a huge heart and a great sense of community pride. The minute I stepped foot onto the Hastings College campus, I recognized that same atmosphere and felt at home. The professors genuinely care about your success here, and the friends you’ll meet will last a lifetime.
Hobbies and Interests
I really enjoy watching, attending and playing sports. I am also a huge music fan and a self-proclaimed reality TV show junkie.
Favorite thing about Hastings College
Homecoming Week on campus is by far one of my favorite things about Hastings College. The energy and spirit on campus amplifies as present, past and future Broncos come together to celebrate our Alma Mater. It’s definitely a great place to be during the fall. Who better to celebrate such an amazing event with than an entire family of Broncos young and old?
Favorite place on campus
My favorite place on campus is the Lynn Farrell Sports Arena, especially when the student section is packed and the Crimson Crew is all fired up.
Most memorable class
January Term (J-Term) 2009 International Infrastructures – I traveled abroad for three weeks with 42 classmates to Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. During those three weeks, I experienced more than I could have ever imagined – my first airplane ride, my first visit to the ocean, my first trip overseas and my first chance to hold a Koala bear.
Favorite thing to do in Hastings
The city of Hastings is alive and well year-round. I love taking in various activities, whether that’s traveling downtown to the local shops and eateries or attending some of the great summer concerts during Adams County Fairfest (county fair). There is plenty to do for all ages so you’ll definitely never get bored.
Favorite place to eat in Hastings
Murphy’s Wagon Wheel is my favorite place to eat. They offer great specials, and their wings, burgers and wraps are delicious!
I’m an avid wedding singer. I enjoy playing the guitar and singing for fun or for my friends and family.
Best meal I can cook
My grandma taught me well so I love to cook all kinds of meals. If I had to pick one though, my spaghetti is pretty hard to beat.
People would be surprised to know that
I’m a HUGE country music fan!
