Job Vacancy Listing
Career Services will advertise part-time, summer, internship and full-time job opportunities. Vacancies are listed on our job board and may also be listed online in JobZone.
We'll forward resumes of candidates meeting your qualifications for full-time and internship opportunities. You'll conduct the screening, interviewing and hiring processes at your offices. This program is also available through the Nebraska College Recruiting Consortium (see below).
Career Services will coordinate and arrange a location and date for you to interview candidates at Hastings College. Scheduling at least one month in advance is best if possible, although pre-select schedules may require more lead-time.
An internship is a cooperative arrangement between a Hastings College student, a faculty member and an employer or sponsoring agency. Career Services assists with the initiation and coordination of internship programs. This educational experience integrates classroom study with planned and supervised work experience. For employers, an internship program is a source for untapped talent, a means of effectively prescreening and recruiting future full time employees, and a vehicle to gain assistance for special projects or peak work periods.
We'll work with you to obtain qualified interns that meet your needs. Internships can be arranged during the semester, summer and January term. The Hastings College program is flexible! Interns may be recruited at any time during the year. Interns may continue over consecutive terms or complete their experience during a portion of a term. Monetary compensation is also a decision made by the employer — a salary or stipend is recommended but not required.
Nebraska College Recruiting Consortium
Hastings College is a member of the consortium. The consortium provides a vehicle for you to reach nine smaller colleges with one contact. Services included free online vacancy listings on a centralized student/employer website, resume referral and centralized campus recruiting. Nebraska College Career Services Association
This association represents professionals from two-year and four-year colleges and universities who aid students in their career development, including searches for internships and employment. Members cooperate to help employers access future and recent graduates. The organization hosts a virtual career fair each April for all Nebraska students. You may send vacancy announcements to all college members.
